I’m Tim, a software engineer based in Hengelo, the Netherlands.
I build software across the stack, from web platforms and APIs to admin tools, interactive systems, and internal tooling. I care a lot about making software that is fast, reliable, and pleasant to use. During the week, I work at Interactive X-Wall, building software for interactive installations and the systems behind them. I’m also studying Software Engineering at Saxion. I’m especially interested in systems programming, cybersecurity, developer tooling, and the parts of software engineering where you eventually have to ask: “okay, but what is the computer actually doing?” Outside of work and university, I spend a lot of time building things for myself. That usually means developer tools, experiments, game-related software, or projects that somehow become significantly larger than originally intended. I also occasionally give cybersecurity workshops, focused on practical security, pentesting, common application vulnerabilities, and helping developers understand how their software breaks before somebody else figures it out first. When I’m not writing code, I’m usually playing guitar, flying something questionable in a flight simulator, or starting another project I absolutely did not need to start. Say hi by email.
